Movie Plot:
The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, operating from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One - a vast, violent metropolis wherever criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of purchase lies with the urban cops named "Judges" who possess the mixed powers of judge, jury and immediate executioner. Recognized and feared through the city, Dredd is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its most recent scourge - a risky drug epidemic that has consumers of "Slo-Mo" encountering actuality at a fraction of its usual speed. During a regimen day on the occupation, Dredd is assigned to train and assess Cassandra Anderson, a rookie with potent psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood wherever fellow Judges seldom dare to venture - a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma and her ruthless clan. When they capture one particular of the clan's inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound's control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will cease at nothing to defend her empire. With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson should confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.
